created on 15 June, 2007, Ankama Presse is a young media company belonging to the ANKAMA group, and fuelled by a desire to produce quality magazines in developing the concept of the mook. Somewhere between magazine and book, the mook is as a real pleasure to read and constitutes an object that the reader will love to collect.
In December 2007, Dofus Mag is released. In its first year of publication, its circulation increased from 10,000 to 70,000 copies. Both game guide and illustration book, Dofus Mag is the official publication of the games DOFUS, Wakfu and Dofus Arena, all of which are produced by ANKAMA.
With the success of Dofus Mag, the company decided to work on a new title -
IG Magazine, released in March 2009. Focused on video games and gaming culture, this title has found its target audience in the gamer and casual fan community.
2010 will be marked by the arrival of a new magazine: Mini-Wakfu Mag. This title is dedicated to a younger audience. It will offer a mix of comic strips and news of all kinds. Mini-Wakfu Mag is youthful and dynamic with high quality materials and artwork.
Founded by Anthony Roux, Camille Chafer and Emmanuel Darras in Roubaix in 2001, ANKAMA is an independent group which produces digital creations and employs over 400 people. The international success of the group's MMORPG DOFUS, with more than 30 million players, enabled ANKAMA to branch out into several related industries: online games, publishing, animations, press, mobile phone services, video games for next gen' consoles. ANKAMA is also developing Wakfu, a crossmedia project composed of animated cartoon, video game, card game and comic book.
